Dragon Point Twisted Juniper Photography Guide

The twisted juniper tree at Dragon Point is one of the most recognizable foreground subjects along the South Rim of Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. Located at the very end of the short Dragon Point trail, this vantage point positions you directly above the canyon sheer walls, offering vast visual depth for landscape captures.

To reach the tree, follow the easy out-and-back trail to its terminus. The twisted juniper stands as the final tree on the far right edge of the viewing overlook area.
